Client: University of Dundee
Purpose: To use a 3D scan of a partial big cat skull to develop an interactive 3D model and animation, demonstrating the skull and mandible and how they hinge together to produce the biting motion.
Audience: General public.
Final Animation
Interactive Model:
After finalizing the model in ZBrush, I imported it into Substance Painter for texturing. I then exported the textures and 3D model and uploaded them to Sketchfab, allowing users to explore the model’s details interactively.
Final Renders:

Original 3D Scan:
Using an Artec scanner, I manually 3D scanned the partial skull remains and exported the data to create a detailed 3D model in ZBrush.
Final 3D Model:
I repaired damaged areas of the skull and sculpted a mandible, fitting it to the original 3D scan using image references of other big cat skulls. Care was taken to ensure the mandible matched the realism and detail of the 3D scan.
